Ingredients
2 cups (3 1/2) sticks butter, room temperature
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp almond extract
3 cups all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cups milk
Method
- Preheat oven to 400. Spray cake pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until soft and fluffy. Add eggs, mixing well after each one added then mix in vanilla and almond extracts and milk.
- In another bowl mix flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add flour mix with butter mix and combine until completely blended.
- Pour in prepared pan and bake for 35-40 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Place cake pan on a cooling rack and cool.
